Books

I have always liked to read books, but nowadays there is too little time for it.

Entertainment/Books

A week from buying it, I finished the sixth Potter book last night. I don't want to spoil the experience from those who have not yet read it, but I have to say this book follows the scheme familiar from the earlier Potter books: First, hundreds of pages of boredom, then finally at the end of the book (and the season) some excitement turns up.

The battle between the good and evil continues while the Ministry of Magic is using tactics familiar from our muggle newscasts. However, the emphasis in this book really is on the relationships. Everyone wanting to pair up with someone, it seems. Harry has grown up a bit and is not as irritating any more as he was in the previous book. The rest of the gang is left in the background, and there is very little depth or development in their characters.

While the book is again thick, the content is quite thin. I liked this book more than the previous one, but still this feels like preparation to the final book of the series. I expect and hope that to have a new, different take on the story. This book is too much the same as before.
